The Boilermaker is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and fabrication of boilers and boiler components using various industrial tools. Key duties include oxyfuel cutting, installing valves and gaskets, and performing advanced tube work and pipe fabrication.
Candidates must have at least four years of heavy industrial experience as a Boilermaker and possess their own locking toolbox. Physical ability to lift 45 pounds, work at heights, and handle 12-hour shifts in extreme temperatures is required.

Summary:
A journeyman level Boilermaker has a minimum of 4 years heavy industrial experience in all aspects of safe boiler and boiler component assembly and maintenance including welding, fabrication, and stress relieving. A boilermaker is also knowledgeable in oxyfuel cutting, identifying and installing valves, gaskets, hangers and supports, rigging, and able to read boiler drawings and detail sheets.
