Hospice Consultants are trusted partners within the healthcare community. They help ensure that patients and families learn about hospice care early enough to benefit fully from the support we provide. This role blends relationship‑building, education, and mission‑driven outreach.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
As a Hospice Consultant, you will:
Serve as a knowledgeable resource and advocate for patients and families, helping them understand their hospice options and the benefits of early support
Share our mission and services with compassion and clarity, helping referral partners feel confident that their patients will be cared for with expertise and kindness
Build and strengthen relationships with hospitals, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, clinics, and physician offices
Engage in meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals about patient needs and how hospice care can enhance comfort and quality of life
Plan and carry out thoughtful outreach efforts to increase awareness of hospice services and encourage timely referrals
Represent Good Shepherd Hospice at community events, professional associations, and educational in‑services
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings:
A compassionate, mission‑driven approach to serving others
Self‑motivation, organization, and the ability to work independently
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communications preferred, or a combination of education and experience which will ensure the requisite skills
Experience in healthcare, sales, community outreach, or relationship‑based roles
Prior experience in hospice, or home health is a plus
Strong existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities or home health professionals
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly
A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
