The Senior Backend Engineer will join the team responsible for customer identity and access management (CIAM) and the customer acquisition journey. You will collaborate on delivering feature, security, and scalability enhancements to the Java and Scala code base while working cross-functionally with stakeholders.
Candidates must have strong architectural thinking and professional experience with JVM-based languages. Experience building SaaS products on AWS, knowledge of event-driven architectures like Kafka, and proficiency with Kubernetes are required.

The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the team responsible for customer identity and access management (CIAM), as well as the acquisition and renewal stages of the customer journey. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Stakeholders to grow product adoption and maximise revenue, while safeguarding how our customers authenticate at scale and improving the experience they have as they sign up, purchase, and manage product access and subscriptions across their organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
You will join the existing team and collaborate on delivering feature, security, scalability and resiliency enhancements to our existing Java and Scala code base. You will contribute to the design of new features. You will work cross-functionally with other Nitro Engineering teams and stakeholders to support the exciting enhancements coming to the Nitro cloud product suite.
