The Cafe Attendant is responsible for serving food and beverages to the public and operating the cash register. Additionally, they prepare recipes according to guidelines and maintain a clean, hygienic work environment.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have completed at least two years of high school or an equivalent. Proficiency in basic technology and strong communication skills are required.

Part-time; (25 hours per week) irregular work shifts (four-day work week), daytime, evening and weekend hours on rare occasions; nonexempt [FLSA]
Core work hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. three days of the week, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, and one day off per week (Tues., Wed., or Thurs...your choice).
Cafe Manager
The Cafe Attendant is responsible for waiting on and serving the public, preparing recipes using cafe guidelines, and carrying out other duties in support of the Cafe department and the library.

The mission of the Glen Ellyn Public Library is to serve the community as a vibrant center for accurate information, robust learning, and personal discovery. The Glen Ellyn Public Library serves a community of almost 28,000 people and is located about 20 miles west of Chicago. Currently, the library holds over 220,000 items, including books, magazines, DVDs, and CDs. It also subscribes to over four dozen online digital resources and conducts programs and events for all ages.
