The Licensed Practical Nurse provides routine and emergency medical care to detainees, including administering medications and performing clinical treatments. They are responsible for maintaining nursing care plans, conducting health screenings, and ensuring the security of the medical area.
Candidates must have graduated from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program and hold a current LPN license. Additionally, applicants must possess current Basic Life Support certification and be able to pass a security clearance, drug screen, and criminal background check.

About this position:
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing care for and treating detainees in a correctional setting. Correctional nurses administer both routine and emergency medical care and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
