A genuine breakthrough you'll bring to market

In this role, you won't just be developing an existing portfolio — you'll be bringing a genuine medical novelty to Serbia, one of the first tests of its kind on the market in the region. It is a genetic cancer-screening test that, from a simple blood draw, can detect a signal shared by dozens of different types of cancer — including many aggressive cancers that today have no routine screening at all — often before any symptoms appear. Its greatest strength lies in its reliability: it is backed by some of the largest and most rigorous clinical validation studies in the field, giving doctors and patients a level of confidence rarely seen in early cancer detection. This is a real shift in how cancer can be detected early — and you will be the person putting it into the hands of Serbian doctors and patients first.

The role

We are seeking a self-driven, energetic, and results-oriented professional to open and develop the Serbian market: building local partnerships, establishing the sales infrastructure, and growing revenue with a special focus on this new cancer-screening breakthrough.

Tasks

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving the go-to-market launch of a novel cancer-screening test in Serbia, from positioning to a commercial rollout.


• Building and managing relationships with private clinics, hospitals, laboratories, general practitioners, and key opinion leaders


• Co-developing and implementing a longer-term growth strategy for the Serbian market


• Executing annual plans against defined targets and activities, within agreed budgets, to ensure revenue and profitability growth


• Conducting trainings and educational activities to have a strong understanding of GenePlanet's products, processes, and services


• Continuously monitoring the competitive landscape and proactively identifying new business opportunities

Requirements

• A university degree in a natural-science field (e.g. biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacy, medicine, or similar) is mandatory


• 5+ years of experience in business development and/or sales, ideally in the medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics sector


• Proven ability to build networks and close deals: strong selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills


• Strategic thinking combined with strong hands-on implementation


• Self-driven and results-oriented, able to work independently while engaging key market stakeholders


• Fluent Serbian and English

Would be an advantage

• Knowledge of or experience in oncology (a strong plus, but not required)


• An established network within Serbia's private healthcare sector and among general practitioners


• Experience in the product category of similar genetic tests
