The Product Designer will shape the user experience and interface of a healthcare data platform, focusing on clinician-facing interfaces. Responsibilities include conducting user research, building interactive prototypes, and maintaining design systems while leveraging AI tools to accelerate the design process.
Candidates must have prior experience designing healthcare user interfaces and possess strong proficiency in Figma. The role requires a proactive, self-directed individual capable of working with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced, fixed-term environment.

Focus: Healthcare IT and clinician-facing user interfaces
As a Product Designer on a fixed-term contract, you will cover an existing role during a maternity leave, shaping the user experience and interface of our healthcare data platform with a particular focus on clinician-facing interfaces. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Product Marketing to create intuitive, accessible designs that support clinicians and other healthcare users. You are expected to make heavy, fluent use of AI tools to accelerate UX/UI design and to build prototypes for demos. Because this is a defined-scope engagement, you will onboard quickly, work with a high degree of autonomy, and ensure work can be handed back smoothly at the end of the contract.
User Needs Analysis: Conduct user interviews and gather qualitative insights to understand clinician needs, pain points, and real-world clinical workflows.
Competitive Analysis: Collaborate with Product Management to review competitor products and industry UX/UI trends, informing design choices.
Usability Testing: Plan and run usability tests with real users to validate design concepts and iterate.
Interaction and Visual Design: Produce high-quality wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for clinician-facing interfaces, using AI tools to move quickly from concept to polished output.
Prototypes for Demos: Build interactive prototypes suitable for demos and stakeholder validation.
Figma Fluency: Demonstrate strong command of current Figma capabilities and workflows
System Ownership: Create, maintain, and evolve design systems to ensure brand and interaction consistency and to improve design efficiency across product features.
AI Tooling: Leverage AI-based design and prototyping tools throughout the workflow to speed up ideation, generate variations, and produce demo-ready prototypes.
Requirement Translation: Work with Product Managers to translate feature requirements into design concepts aligned with product goals and user needs.
Engineering Handover: Collaborate with Engineering to ensure feasibility, clarify specifications, and support smooth implementation.
Iterative Feedback Loops: Gather and incorporate feedback from Product, Engineering, and Marketing to refine designs.
Prototype Validation: Run validation sessions with users and stakeholders, refining designs based on real-world usage.
Continuous Improvement: Work with Product Management to monitor post-launch usage and UX metrics.
Documentation: Keep design files, decisions, and documentation well-organized throughout the engagement to enable a clean handback.
Healthcare UI Experience: Prior experience designing healthcare user interfaces.
User Empathy: Prioritize user needs and consider real-world clinical workflows in every design decision.
AI-First Workflow: Heavy, fluent use of AI tools for design and prototyping.
Figma Fluency: Up-to-date knowledge of Figma's capabilities.
Design Systems: Proven ability to build and maintain design systems.
Attention to Detail: Polished, accessible, technically sound output.
Proactive Collaboration: Self-directed collaboration given the part-time, fixed-term nature of the role.
Product Manager: Align on user requirements, roadmap priorities, and design objectives.
Engineering Team: Ensure technical feasibility and smooth implementation of designs.
