The role involves building and maintaining long-term relationships with diverse communities and coordinating outreach initiatives. You will work at the intersection of education, curation, and communication to foster participation and integrate diverse perspectives into museum processes.
Candidates should have practical experience in sociocultural work, art education, or pedagogy, along with a strong interest in diversity and inclusion. Excellent German language skills and the ability to work independently in a structured manner are required.

Fotografie verstehen wir als ein vielseitiges Medium, das gesellschaftliche Fragen sichtbar macht und Gespräche ermöglicht.
Wir wollen das Fotomuseum als einen Ort gestalten, an dem Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Erfahrungen und Perspektiven willkommen sind und sich einbringen können. Kulturelle Teilhabe wollen wir nicht als ergänzendes Angebot verstehen, sondern als Grundlage unserer Arbeit.
In dieser neu geschaffenen Stelle gestalten Sie die Weiterentwicklung des Fotomuseums Winterthur als zugänglichen und partizipativen Ort aktiv mit. Sie arbeiten daran, Barrieren abzubauen und Beziehungen zu Menschen und Gruppen mit unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und Hintergründen aufzubauen.
Ihre Arbeit findet sowohl im Museum als auch in Zusammenarbeit mit unterschiedlichen Communities ausserhalb des Museums statt. Gemeinsam entwickeln Sie Formate und Strukturen, die Mitbestimmung und Mitgestaltung ermöglichen und eine nachhaltige Verankerung vielfältiger Perspektiven in der Arbeit des Museums fördern.
Es erwartet Sie ein engagiertes Team sowie ein vielfältiges und motivierendes Arbeitsumfeld in einem internationalen Kontext. Sie arbeiten in einem gesamterneuerten Museumsbau mit moderner Infrastruktur und erhalten Gestaltungs- und Entscheidungsspielraum. Zudem bietet die Stelle die Möglichkeit, das Aufgabenfeld selbstständig mitzugestalten und weiterzuentwickeln.

Founded in Winterthur, Switzerland in 1993, Fotomuseum is a leading venue for the display and discussion of photography. Through exhibitions, publications, events, and the building of a collection (dating from 1960 to the present day) the museum explores the diversity of photographic media. Our programme presents the history of photography with the ambition of visualising that history differently. We also seek to understand the rapidly expanding nature of photographic technology and aesthetics today, especially through our commitment to research and our engagement with young artists. Fotomuseum takes pride in the quality of its exhibitions and in the uncompromising scrutiny of its discourse. Openness and hospitality are important to us. We challenge ourselves and our audiences to think differently about the photographic, convinced that to interpret the image is also to discover something important about the world. Through partnerships in Europe and across the globe we provide both on- and offline forums for the exchange of ideas and images.
