The Ambassador guides visitors to explore nature and promotes FortWhyte Alive's mission through orientation and program support. They also manage the Nature Shop by processing sales, maintaining stock, and providing product information.
Candidates should possess strong customer service and communication skills with a genuine enthusiasm for the organization's mission. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems is required, along with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for encouraging and guiding FWA visitors to explore, learn and connect with nature so as to further our mission and mandate. Key responsibilities include working as an Ambassador of FWA in our Visitor Reception area through the orientation of visitors with programs, activities and events.
This individual will help operate the Nature Shop by providing information about products to visitors, maintaining stock and displays, as well as processing all sales transactions. This job will require availability for evenings and weekends primarily, and week days during the Summer, depending on operational needs.
