Provide aviation and structural firefighting services to minimize loss of life and property through fire control and extinguishment. Responsible for operating specialized fire apparatus, managing equipment inventories, and conducting training for military personnel.
Requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years of experience in apparatus and pumping operations. Must hold certifications including Firefighter I/II, Airport Firefighter, and HazMat Operations, along with a valid civilian driver's license.

High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and must have 3 years experience in operating the apparatus and its pumping operations.
May be assigned to a day shift or night shift. Environments can be from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. All DoD military and civilian firefighters and employees of DoD contractors must be certified at the level for which they seek employment. Must be able to respond to rescue or fire alarms/notifications within 3 minutes. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Must possess a standard issue civilian drivers license. Minimum Certification Requirements: Firefighter I/II, Airport Firefighter, D/O Pumper, D/O Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting, Hazardous Material (HazMat) Operations and HazMat Awareness. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Telecommunicator I and II (Preferred), D/O Aerial, D/O Mobile Water Supply and other vehicles are determined locally based on duty assignments and the locally assigned vehicles. Marine Firefighter - Only required at FandES departments without an aircraft firefighting mission, Wildland Firefighting - Only required at FandES departments with a wildland firefighting mission, as defined by the DoD Components.
