As part of the Flood Brothers Team, the Commercial Furniture Installer is responsible for delivery, assembly, service and installation of commercial office furniture, case goods and other related systems. The Installer’s goal is to safely and quickly deliver and install all items per the clients’ requirements and satisfaction. An efficient Installer collaborates with the onsite team, Operations, and the client to keep items safe from damage through final installation. When performed at an optimum level, this role directly contributes to a positive customer experience.
SKILLS
To be successful as a Commercial Furniture Installer, you should have or be able to:
• The ability to repeatedly lift and carry boxes and furniture weighing 70lbs
• Effective communication skills when interacting with the clients and team members
• Organization and time management capabilities
• The ability to solve problems
• Intimate knowledge of furniture assembly and disassembly and installation
• Practice care and precision when prepping, assembling and installing furniture
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Install all types of free-standing furniture, panel, and modular systems including placement, leveling, wipe-down, and touch-up of metal and wood furniture
• Keeping a clean and safe work environment
• Communicating with clients, team members, and Operations department to inform, build trust and confidence, resolve issues, and enhance the overall installation experience
• Comply with all Flood Brothers procedures and policies, Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers by hand and/or with material handling equipment
• Read and Understand installation drawings/blueprints
• Ensure all work has been completed and a confirmation walk-through with the client has been performed
• Ensure all required paperwork, scope/workorder, timesheets have been approved and signed by the client
• Submitting all required paperwork to the Operations each day or at the end of the shift

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position holder will be required to work in different location with varying environments based on the nature and scope of the work being performed. Work in and during all weather conditions including heat, rain, cold, snow, and wind.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to walk, stand, and sit in less than favorable conditions. Access and flexibility in tight spaces. Repeated lifting materials associated with the position up to 70lbs.
TRAVEL
There are some assignments that will take place out-of-town, however, most assignments will be local.
