The role involves owning high-leverage technical problems, leading strategic customer initiatives, and driving AI adoption within the company. You will act as the CTO's proxy to turn customer needs into product roadmaps and optimize internal engineering workflows.
Candidates must possess founder/operator DNA with a strong bias for action and technical fluency in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern AI tools. Proficiency in both German and English is required, along with experience in high-speed startup environments.

We are looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence to work directly with our CTO and take real ownership of the problems that matter most. This is not a support or project-management role — you'll own projects end-to-end and deliver measurable results, not recommendations.
Our CTO has more high-impact work than hours in the day: strategic customers, product bets, internal engineering, and AI. You'll take the lead on the area that matters most right now — today that's customer integration and solution engineering — and grow your scope from there.

Own strategic customer initiatives: Lead our most important customer engagements end-to-end — join the conversations, run discovery, and represent the CTO in technical decisions. When the same need shows up across customers, turn it into roadmap.
Drive product & technical discovery: Turn open questions into clear specs and quick prototypes. Run build-vs-buy evaluations and technical deep dives, and come back with a clear recommendation.
Make our engineers faster: Improve the internal tooling and access our engineers rely on — remove onboarding and permissions friction and build the infrastructure that lets the team move quickly and safely.
Lead our AI adoption: Drive how Finto uses AI to work better and faster. Pilot new tools, measure the impact, train the team on real workflows, and set sensible guardrails.
Context-switch constantly — no two weeks look the same. One week you're scoping a customer's ERP integration, the next you're unblocking the engineering team or running an AI pilot.
A builder at heart — you've started things from zero, owned outcomes, and thrive when things are unclear.
Genuinely technical — you read architecture, ship prototypes, and work fluently with modern AI/LLM tools. You're comfortable around a Node.js/TypeScript backend and integration-heavy systems.
High agency — you don't wait to be told what to do, you figure it out and execute.
Experience at startup speed — as a founder, early engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or in a Founder's Office / Chief of Staff role.
Strong communicator in German and English, comfortable working directly with founders in a high-speed environment.
