Overview: The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise. Required to have CDL.

Responsibilities

Receiving and Unloading: Receive incoming shipments of merchandise, verify contents against packing slips or invoices, and unload goods from delivery vehicles. Inspect received items for damages and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
Storage and Organization: Store merchandise in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and efficient use of space. Use pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as needed to move and stack pallets of goods.
Order Picking: Retrieve merchandise from shelves, bins, or storage areas based on pick tickets or customer orders. Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders by verifying quantities and item descriptions before packing for shipment.
Packing and Shipping: Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipping using appropriate packaging materials and methods. Affix shipping labels and documentation to packages and coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups or deliveries.
Inventory Management: Perform periodic inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records. Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies and participate in physical inventory audits as required.
Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris. Report any maintenance or repair issues to the warehouse supervisor or manager.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards or concerns to management.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates, supervisors, and managers to achieve team goals and objectives. Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive work environment.

QualificationsQualifications

CDL-Required to have a CDL
Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing physically demanding tasks.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as counting, sorting, and verifying merchandise.
Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving results.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
