As a crucial part of the business, FinDreams Battery was 100% funded by BYD, to provide battery energy solutions to our broader range of clients. We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager based in Sydney or Melbourne to grow our sales network in Australia.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and commercially driven BESS Sales Specialist to support the continued growth of our utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business across Australia and New Zealand.

Working closely with senior sales leaders, technical solution engineers, project delivery teams, and service teams, you will help develop customer relationships, support tender activities, coordinate proposals, and contribute to the successful delivery of utility-scale energy storage projects.

This role is ideal for someone with a technical or commercial background who is looking to build a long-term career in the renewable energy and energy storage industry.

Main responsibilities

• Support the development of new business opportunities across the Australian and New Zealand BESS market.

• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, developers, EPC contractors, consultants, and other key stakeholders.

• Coordinate customer meetings and prepare commercial presentations and proposals.

• Assist with RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, tenders, and contract negotiations.

• Work closely with technical solution engineers to develop customer-focused solutions.

• Coordinate internally with engineering, project delivery, service, logistics, legal, and finance teams throughout the sales process.

• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and CRM records.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.

• Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and customer events.

• Support the successful handover of awarded projects to the project delivery team.

Key requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of experience in sales, business development, project coordination, or commercial roles within renewable energy, power systems, electrical infrastructure, or related industries.

• Experience in BESS, solar, wind, transmission, distribution, or industrial electrical projects is highly regarded.

• Strong communication and relationship management skills.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Commercial awareness and willingness to learn complex technical solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics) is advantageous.

• Willingness to travel within Australia and occasionally overseas.
