The role involves drafting and interpreting corporate, venture financing, and M&A documents while managing diligence workflows. Additionally, the candidate will partner with engineering and design teams to translate legal requirements into product specifications and quality-assurance protocols.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and an active New York State Bar License. A minimum of 24 months of experience as Legal Counsel is required.
Equall is building the legal infrastructure for the private markets — a new system for how corporate legal reality is verified, tracked, and continuously managed.
Our AI-native platform extracts, structures, and reconciles corporate legal information, producing auditable outputs such as cap table tie-out reports, governance dashboards, and personnel summaries grounded in source documents. Equall executes workflows end to end across both due diligence and day-to-day advisory work, verifying a company’s legal state and surfacing actionable issues in real time.
In practice, this means:
Investor-side due diligence delivered in hours, not weeks
Company-side client snapshots, continuously updated
Legal team review reduced by an order of magnitude

Draft and interpret corporate, venture financing, and M&A documents; manage diligence workflows; advise on corporate governance, equity plans, and cap table structures; translate legal requirements into product processes in collaboration with engineering and design teams. Convert legal requirements and workflows into internal playbooks and product specifications, ensuring that platform features reflect accurate legal logic and compliance requirements. Develop and implement quality-assurance and review protocols for legal content and tools; evaluate legal accuracy across technology-enabled workflows; define metrics and feedback loops to improve reliability and user outcomes.
Must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Law and possess an Active New York State Bar License
Twenty-four (24) months of experience as a Legal Counsel
