  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Move work forward collaboratively across multiple teams, serving as a reliable backup for the IT team and promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual support.
  • Continuous Learning: Rapidly learn and apply new technologies as the IT landscape evolves, maintaining attention to detail in configuration changes, security management, and troubleshooting.

We are interested in finding values-aligned educators and leaders from a variety of backgrounds. We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet every one of our qualifications listed. If you are unsure whether you meet the qualifications of this position, we encourage you to apply and share your experience and questions as part of your cover letter.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A proven track record of resourcefulness with a knack for solving complex problems.
  • Once hired, continuous current California residency.
  • Receptiveness to feedback and desire to continuously improve to meet outcomes.
  • Preferred: A degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, and/or technology certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Apple)

  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required for frequent inter-site travel, which may involve transporting equipment.
  • Personal vehicle mileage is reimbursable for work-related travel between school sites.
  • Regular commuting is not reimbursable.

The salary range for this role will be prorated based on an annual salary of between $70,304 - $78,000 dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials.

In addition to those factors, Envision Education complies with applicable pay equity laws and considers internal equity among current employees when developing the final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.  We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.

As an equal opportunity employer, we believe deeply in diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all people. Envision Education's mission is to transform the lives of students - especially those who will be the first in their family to attend college - by preparing them for success in college, career, and life. This mission is grounded in the urgency to create opportunities for first-generation college-going students, so that they have access to an education that will fundamentally change the trajectory of their lives. Envision’s Portfolio Defense model accomplishes this by giving students, particularly those who are historically underserved, the academic and social-emotional skills they need to first get into college and then persist until they earn a degree. Simply put, ours is an equity mission. Envision Education was co-founded by Daniel McLaughlin, a former Senior Research Associate at WestEd, and Bob Lenz, a nationally recognized school reform leader and Project-Based Learning expert. Envision began operations as a 501(c)(3) charter school management organization in June 2002. Today, Envision Education runs five small, high-performing urban public schools (two middle schools and three high schools) in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Envision Schools integrate a challenging curriculum that requires all students to complete the A-G Common Core coursework, ensuring that they are eligible and prepared to attend a four-year university. Our educators also create project-based assignments that challenge students to use the 21st Century Skills, of thinking critically, solving problems resourcefully, and collaborating productively, that are needed to thrive in college, in future careers, and in life. Building on the success of the schools, Envision created a consultancy division in 2010 called Envision Learning Partners (ELP), to transform the educational experience for students across the country. Using the Envision Schools model, ELP works with teachers and leaders throughout the United States to create vibrant schools and engage students deeply in their own learning.
