About the Position 

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Sales – APAC to drive commercial growth across the Asia-Pacific region. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, APAC, this leadership role is responsible for delivering ambitious revenue targets through a balanced focus on new logo acquisition, strategic account expansion, and customer retention across the full Energy Exemplar portfolio. 

The VP Sales will develop and execute the regional sales strategy, lead a high-performing sales organisation, and build trusted executive relationships with customers across the power, utilities, renewables, and broader energy sectors. Working closely with the SVP APAC and global commercial leadership, this role will partner with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Pre-Sales and GTM Operations to maximise customer value, accelerate pipeline growth, and drive long-term profitable expansion across the region. 

Key Responsibilities 

Revenue Growth & Commercial Leadership 

• Own the APAC sales strategy and deliver regional bookings, ARR and revenue growth targets. 
• Drive sustainable growth through: 
• New customer acquisition. 
• Upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the existing customer base. 
• Strategic enterprise account development. 
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with disciplined forecasting and opportunity management. 
• Lead complex enterprise sales opportunities from executive engagement through to negotiation and close. 

Sales Leadership 

• Build, lead, coach and develop a high-performing APAC sales team. 
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus and commercial excellence. 
• Establish clear sales metrics, pipeline discipline and performance reviews to consistently achieve business objectives. 

Strategic Account Growth 

• Develop executive relationships with key customers and strategic partners throughout APAC. 
• Identify opportunities to expand adoption of Energy Exemplar's full software portfolio within existing accounts. 
• Partner with Customer Success to maximise customer value, retention and recurring revenue growth. 

Cross-Functional Leadership 

• Work closely with the SVP APAC and global leadership team to execute regional growth initiatives. 
• Partner with Marketing to generate demand and strengthen market presence. 
• Collaborate with Product, Pre-Sales and Customer Success to deliver outstanding customer outcomes and successful commercial transitions. 

Regional Leadership 

• Represent Energy Exemplar with customers, partners and at key industry events across APAC. 
• Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to support regional and global strategy. 
• Ensure accurate forecasting, business reviews and reporting to the SVP APAC and executive leadership. 

 

Candidate Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA preferred.  
• 10+ years' experience in enterprise software or SaaS sales, including senior sales leadership across APAC.  
• Proven success driving revenue growth through new business acquisition, strategic account expansion, and customer retention.  
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing regional sales teams.  
• Strong track record selling complex enterprise solutions to C-suite and senior stakeholders.  
• Experience developing regional go-to-market strategies, managing sales pipelines, and delivering accurate forecasts.  
• Skilled in enterprise negotiations, strategic account management, and value-based selling.  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product, Pre-Sales, and Customer Success.  
• Experience in the energy, utilities, or adjacent technology sectors is highly desirable.  
• Willingness to travel across APAC as required.
