The Unit Secretary provides essential clerical support to the nursing unit, including maintaining accurate medical records and transcribing medical orders. They also coordinate unit operations and serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, and staff.
Candidates should have familiarity with medical terminology and experience in reading and transcribing medical orders. A CPR certification and one year of inpatient unit secretary experience are preferred.
