Candidates must be actively enrolled as a Sophomore or Junior in a college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work on-site in Birmingham, Alabama are required.

POSITION PURPOSE
The External Financial Reporting Intern works directly with the SEC reporting group for one of Birmingham’s few publicly traded companies. The intern is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the external financial reports including, but not limited to, Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q, Current Reports on Form 8-K, and Quarterly Earnings Release materials. The intern will gain an understanding of how financial and operational data flows from the accounting system to the end financial reports and the role of each team within the accounting department.

Must be seeking and undergraduate degree in accounting
