The Clinical Technician provides administrative and operational support to Clinical Services, assisting with daily claim review activities, client reporting, and clinical program initiatives under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role serves as a key liaison with provider offices, pharmacies, and internal departments to ensure effective coordination and delivery of services. The Clinical Technician is responsible for supporting client reviews, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to special projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administratively support Clinical Account Executives regarding each client’s daily claim reviews.
- Communicate administratively with provider offices and in-network pharmacies to support various clinical programs and initiatives under a pharmacist’s supervision.
- Assist with compiling quarterly client review reports and presentation materials.
- Support Clinical Services with ad-hoc projects and perform other related duties, as needed.
- Effectively communicate and interact with all other EmpiRx Health departments, fostering teamwork and unity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Experience (Required)
- At least two years of experience working for a specialty pharmacy or health plan, or at least four years of experience in a hospital or retail environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, exciting start-up environment with the ability to multi-task; responsibilities may vary from day to day.
- Ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel.
- 4-year college degree (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of the PBM industry (preferred).
Certification(s)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) –required.
Work Environment: Hybrid (schedule based on the needs of the business)
The expected salary range for this New Jersey position is between $50,890- $63,612. Total earnings may also include various incentive options. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, education, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
