Requires a third-level qualification in Social Care, Nursing, or Social Work, plus a management or postgraduate qualification. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in children's disability or residential services and three years in a leadership role.
Embrace are recruiting an Assistant Director of Children's Services for a national role covering our children's residential services. We are seeking applications from experienced leaders who have a passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care and supporting teams to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will join a values-driven organisation with a strong management structure and a clear commitment to excellence in residential services.
Our children's services are founded on a rights-based, trauma-informed and child-centred approach that promotes safety, wellbeing, participation, independence and positive outcomes for each child and young person in our care.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide operational leadership, quality assurance and performance oversight across designated children's residential services within Embrace.
You will work collaboratively with Persons in Charge, multidisciplinary teams, families and external stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality and child-centred services.
You will provide leadership, coaching and support to service leaders while driving continuous improvement, workforce development and operational excellence across your portfolio of services.
You will ensure all services operate in line with HIQA requirements, Tusla standards, Children First legislation and Embrace's own model of care.
In your role you will oversee admissions, transitions, safeguarding, workforce planning and financial performance across your designated services.

Standard working week of Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (apart from very occasional evening or weekend work)

Relevant third-level qualification in Social Care, Nursing, Social Work or a related discipline
Management qualification or relevant postgraduate qualification
Minimum five years' experience in children's disability or residential services
Minimum three years' experience in a management or leadership role
Demonstrated experience supporting or managing HIQA inspections
Experience managing safeguarding concerns and complex presentations
Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations, Children First Act 2015 and National Standards for Residential Services
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
Full clean driving licence
