Elite Parking Services of America is seeking a dependable and hands-on Shift Manager to oversee day-to-day parking and transportation operations during an assigned shift. This position combines the operational responsibilities of parking and transit supervision and serves as the primary on-site leadership presence for employees during the shift.
The Shift Manager is responsible for coordinating staff, maintaining service standards, supporting safe and efficient parking and transportation operations, addressing operational issues as they arise, and ensuring employees follow company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Shift & Team Leadership
● Lead and supervise parking attendants, drivers, and other assigned operational staff during the shift.
● Coordinate daily staffing assignments and adjust coverage based on operational needs, call-outs, absences, or changes in service demand.
● Conduct shift briefings and communicate assignments, operational priorities, and relevant updates to employees.
● Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, performance, appearance, and adherence to company policies.
● Provide coaching and immediate performance feedback and escalate employee concerns or disciplinary matters to appropriate management and Human Resources.
● Assist with training and onboarding employees on site-specific procedures and operational expectations.
Parking Operations
● Oversee daily parking operations to maintain safe, organized, and efficient traffic and parking flow.
● Monitor parking areas, entrances, exits, designated spaces, and other operational areas.
● Respond to customer, client, and employee concerns and resolve routine operational issues.
● Ensure employees follow established parking procedures, safety standards, and customer-service expectations.
● Identify and report equipment, facility, safety, or operational concerns requiring additional attention.
Transportation Operations
● Coordinate daily transportation activities, including driver assignments, routes, schedules, and service coverage.
● Monitor transportation operations throughout the shift and make adjustments when necessary to maintain service.
● Confirm drivers assigned to transportation duties meet applicable company and position requirements.
● Promote compliance with company safety procedures and applicable transportation requirements.
● Respond to vehicle, route, scheduling, passenger, or operational issues and escalate significant incidents as appropriate.
Safety, Compliance & Reporting
● Promote a safe working environment and immediately address or report unsafe conditions.
● Ensure employees follow company policies, client requirements, operating procedures, and applicable safety standards.
● Document accidents, incidents, employee concerns, customer complaints, operational disruptions, and other significant shift activity.
● Complete required shift reports, logs, checklists, and other operational documentation accurately and timely.
● Communicate significant issues and shift updates to Operations Management.
● Assist management with investigations and follow-up related to incidents or operational concerns.
Customer & Client Service
● Maintain professional communication with employees, customers, passengers, clients, and management.
● Address service concerns promptly and professionally.
● Support a customer-focused environment while maintaining operational and safety standards.
● Serve as an on-site point of contact during the assigned shift when appropriate.
Qualifications
● Previous supervisory, lead, transportation, parking, hospitality, customer service, or operations experience preferred.
● Demonstrated ability to lead employees and manage day-to-day operational activities.
● Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing staffing and operational needs.
● Basic computer and administrative skills necessary to complete reports, documentation, and communications.
● Reliable attendance and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
● Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required based on operational responsibilities.
Physical & Work Requirements
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
● Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
● Ability to move throughout parking and transportation operational areas as necessary.
● Ability to work in an active environment involving vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. The Shift Manager must be available to provide leadership and operational coverage during assigned shifts and may occasionally be required to work outside regularly scheduled hours based on business needs.
