The Tax Superintendent is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reviewing tax filings, and ensuring adherence to local and international fiscal regulations. This role also involves supporting tax planning initiatives, managing tax risks, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize the organization's tax position.
Candidates must be a Certified Public Accountant with postgraduate studies in taxation and at least 12 years of general experience, including 6 years in similar roles within the mining sector. Advanced English proficiency is mandatory, along with strong practical experience in tax compliance, reporting, and audit management.
Anglo American, en sociedad con la Corporación Mitsubishi, está desarrollando la operación minera Quellaveco, uno de los yacimientos de cobre más grandes del mundo, localizado en la región de Moquegua, al sur del Perú.
Quellaveco tendrá una vida de reservas de 30 años. Utilizará proceso minero de tajo abierto y flotación para producir concentrados de cobre, así como molibdeno y plata como subproductos. Se espera que Quellaveco produzca en promedio 300 mil toneladas de cobre por año en sus primeros 10 años de operación.

Este puesto es responsable de supervisar las actividades de cumplimiento tributario, revisar declaraciones de impuestos y asegurar el cumplimiento de las regulaciones fiscales locales, regionales e internacionales. Asimismo, implica monitorear cambios en la legislación tributaria, realizar investigaciones fiscales exhaustivas y apoyar iniciativas de planificación fiscal para optimizar la posición tributaria de la organización.
El propósito de este rol es brindar soporte al Country Tax Lead en cumplimiento, reporte y políticas fiscales, enfocándose en asegurar el cumplimiento de los requisitos tributarios locales, operar conforme al Marco de Gobernanza Fiscal y alinear el perfil fiscal del Grupo con su presencia global, incluyendo la ejecución de las prioridades e iniciativas fiscales globales del Grupo.
