The Manufacturing Janitorial position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment within our Food & Beverage laundry operations. This role supports compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards by ensuring production areas, equipment surroundings, and common areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize manufacturing and production areas in accordance with company standards and food safety requirements
Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, walls, work surfaces, and equipment surroundings
Properly handle, store, and dispose of waste and recyclable materials
Clean restrooms, locker rooms, break areas, and offices as assigned
Follow established cleaning schedules, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies in compliance with training and labeling requirements
Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or sanitation concerns to supervision
Support audits and inspections by maintaining a consistently clean facility
Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and supervision teams
Follow all company policies related to safety, hygiene, attendance, and professionalism
Food & Beverage Sanitation Focus
Adhere to strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Prevent cross-contamination by following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures
Maintain separation between clean and soiled areas
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Required:
Ability to follow detailed cleaning and sanitation instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Preferred:
Prior janitorial or sanitation experience in a manufacturing, food, or industrial environment
Familiarity with food safety or GMP standards
Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals
