Oversee end-to-end operations: receiving inbound shipments (even from international suppliers), inspection, put-away, storage, picking/kitting, packing, dispatch, and returns.
Manage material forwarding to multiple construction sites with JIT principles, coordinating transport and ensuring materials arrive in the right sequence/condition with TMS.
Maintain high inventory accuracy via cycle counting, reconciliation, and ERP/WMS transactions (SAP and Excel), tracking high-value/spares/heavy items with proper handling for construction materials.
Enforce rigorous Work Health & Safety (WHS) standards, including manual handling, hazardous materials, heavy equipment, and site-specific risks, HVNL and COR.
Coordinate with procurement, project engineers, site managers, and logistics providers to align supply with construction schedules and forecast needs.
Monitor and drive KPIs such as OTIF to sites/Warehouse, inventory accuracy/turnover, material availability, shrinkage, and cost control.
Support continuous improvement (Lean practices), layout optimisation, and process enhancements to reduce waste, handling damage, and lead times.
Ensure compliance with Australian standards (chain of responsibility, dangerous goods, environmental regs, Heavy Vehicle National Law) and project-specific requirements (e.g., Construction Management Plan) and SWMS.
Handle housekeeping, equipment maintenance, security, and reporting for audits/project controls.
What We’re Looking For
4–7+ years in warehouse/logistics, with 2+ years supervisory experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, heavy industry or Military background.
Proven success in multi-site material distribution, inventory control, and meeting KPIs.
Professional licences: Forklift, Dangerous Goods, HVNL, COR, White Card,
Strong WHS operations knowledge and construction site awareness.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP highly valued) and basic analytics (Excel).
