The role involves validating parts for compliance with global environmental regulations such as REACH, RoHS, and ELV. Responsibilities include managing substance data in databases and performing IMDS validation to ensure a closed-loop compliance process.
Requires a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, or Polymer disciplines with 1-6 years of overall experience. Candidates must be familiar with material compliance standards and have experience with BOM and data management tools like SAP.
Position Summary
The candidate should have hands-on experience on Global Material Compliance process, IMDS/CAMDS creation, CMRT process, Supplier parts validation. The material compliance engineer will validate the selected parts to be compliant with ELV, WEEE, REACH and many other ever-changing global environmental regulations.
Principal Responsibilities:
Ø Perform IMDS validation and respond to inquiries about part compliance
Ø To make sure global compliance processes are followed and have a closed loop.
Ø Experienced in drawings review, PLC, resolving technical compliance issues related to substance data and supplier information
Ø Manage accurate substance data information in the database which helps product designers to select parts compliant to RoHS, REACH, and many other global environmental regulations.
Ø Work together with team to ensure that parts and products sourced and manufactured by Kautex are compliant with global environmental regulations and customer requirements.
Ø Track regulatory compliance and understand impact to Kautex products.
Ø Bachelor of Engineering in (Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer) discipline, with minimum of 1-6 years of experience.
Ø 1-4 Experience in material Compliance
Ø Familiar with one or more of the following: RoHS, REACH, Battery Directive, Packaging directive or WEEE.
Ø Bill of materials (BOM) and data management experience (SAP preferred)
Ø Excellent Microsoft skills
Ø Background in component materials
Ø Strong oral and written communication skills
Ø Familiarity with environmental compliance standards (RoHS, REACH, CMRT) is preferred
