Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
DRIV Inc. is seeking a motivated and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Smyrna, TN. If you are mechanically inclined, enjoy troubleshooting equipment, and have 1-2 years of maintenance experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment, material handling equipment, and building systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repair of facility equipment, machinery, and building systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and facility-related issues to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Complete preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules.
Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure proper operation.
Assist with coordinating and monitoring work performed by outside contractors.
Maintain inventory of maintenance parts, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure all equipment operates safely and complies with company safety standards and environmental regulations.
Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with multiple departments to prevent equipment failures and support operational needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Technical or Trade School certification preferred.
1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, or facility maintenance experience.
Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings, diagrams, and instructions.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work alternative shifts as business needs require.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around moving machinery and in varying environmental conditions.
Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet when required.
