The Opportunity
Downer is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to join our Logan Water project team. This role will provide technical expertise, guidance and advice to support the successful delivery of construction projects across our Utilities Water business.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to help drive safe, efficient and high-quality project outcomes. What we are looking for
You will bring a practical, solutions-focused approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be comfortable working in a changing site environment and committed to supporting Downer’s Zero Harm principles.
A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
Minimum 1 year of project engineering experience, ideally within the water industry.
Experience managing subcontractors and supporting procurement, claims, variations and extension-of-time processes.
Demonstrated capability in financial management and reporting, including budgeting, cost forecasting and cost control.
Experience supporting quality project delivery outcomes and contributing to constructability, fit-for-purpose and value engineering reviews.
Clear and concise communication skills, with strong organisational and time management capability.
Sound computer skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic project environment.
