The role involves bridging the gap between the platform and the developer community by building working examples and creating technical content. Responsibilities include producing tutorials, blogs, and videos while growing the developer ecosystem through proactive engagement.
Candidates need 3 to 4 years of hands-on coding experience in Frontend JavaScript and proficiency with REST/GraphQL APIs. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a strong public presence on GitHub or LinkedIn are required.
What is the role?
dotCMS is a cloud-based Universal CMS that is changing how enterprises do digital. We seek a Developer Advocate (DevRel Engineer) to bridge the gap between our platform and the developer community.
As a DevRel Engineer, you are a hands-on builder who is highly active on GitHub and LinkedIn. You build working examples against dotCMS's headless SDKs, AI capabilities, and APIs, then turn them into tutorials, demos, and developer content. Building is the foundation of this role, not an afterthought. This is a hybrid role that combines developer relations, technical content creation, and community support. You will help developers succeed with dotCMS by creating engaging, high-quality content, participating in the developer ecosystem, and facilitating technical conversations in and outside of our community.
You may work remotely from any location that is compatible with standard U.S. business hours (unless specified otherwise). Please note this is a Contractor full-time position, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
