The Med Transporter is responsible for safely administering medications, monitoring effects, and documenting administration according to facility protocols. They also assist in implementing residential programs and providing medical transportation for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Candidates must hold a medication administration certification and have at least two years of college education in a human services field or equivalent experience. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

As a Med Transporter at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. We offer:
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Poughkeepsie, NY, this position works directly with individuals while safely and accurately preparing and administering medications. The Med Transporter will assist in implementing residential programs as developed, including medical transport and scheduling. They are responsible for complying with regulatory and facility policies on medication consents, teaching individuals about medications and medication management, accurately monitoring and documenting medication administration, and monitoring medication effects and adverse reactions according to facility protocol. They will report concerns to the RN on duty, report actual/potential medication errors per facility procedure, and actively engage in medication error reduction practices.

Salary: (commensurate with education and experience)
With HS Diploma/GED - $21.00 - $22.47 per hour
With BA/BS - $22.00 - $23.54 per hour
With MA/MS or higher - $23.00 - $24.61 per hour
