The intern will support a grant-funded digitization project by scanning archival records and creating associated metadata. They will also convert scans to PDFs for a digital asset management system and rehouse original materials.
Candidates must be current students in good standing at an ALA accredited graduate library and information science school. Proficiency in Office 365 and familiarity with Adobe software and scanning technologies are required.

GENERAL SUMMARY
As an established and respected organization, the DIA is an excellent place for interns to explore interests in museums and non-profits. Beyond learning about the art collections, interns are able to contribute to everything that helps the museum run smoothly. Interns will work under the guidance and supervision of a DIA professional on a specific project with established learning outcomes.
Under the supervision of the Director, Research Library, Archives & Collections Information, the Intern will participate in efforts in support of a grant-funded digitization project to produce, manage and preserve digital surrogates of archival materials from the first 60 years of DIA history, 1885-1945.

Successful candidates must be a current student in good standing at an ALA accredited graduate library and information science school.
