You will support the development, testing, and maintenance of client data pipelines while collaborating with the team to build ingestion templates. Additionally, you will write and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract and validate data while automating quality checks.
Candidates must hold or be pursuing a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics. You must also have basic familiarity with Python, SQL, and cloud environments, and possess legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
About The Role:
We are on the hunt for a Summer Intern to join our growing team at Generate Zero as a Data Engineer. Working closely with our Data team to build, maintain and troubleshoot the pipelines that move client data into the Generate Zero Platform.
You’ll learn from experienced engineers as you write for-production pipelines and automation using SQL and Python, work with cloud data platforms, and see how your work supports accurate, audit-ready sustainability reporting for our clients.
This role will initially be a 10-week contract, full time over the summer (dates flexible), however there is potential for the intern position to roll onto part-time work after this period.
