The video journalist will produce daily news content, live events, and breaking news coverage across multiple digital and broadcast platforms. They are responsible for managing video curation on Globalnews.ca and the Global TV app while coordinating with the news desk for seamless content delivery.
Candidates must have 2-4 years of news writing or production experience and proficiency with non-linear editing tools. A post-secondary education in a broadcast-related field is required, along with the flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

About the Role:
Join our National Online Video Team as a video journalist, where you’ll bring stories to life through compelling daily news coverage, live broadcasts, and real-time reporting on breaking events.
Reporting to the National Managing Editor of Online Video, you’ll contribute to dynamic, audience-first storytelling across digital platforms.
This full-time, unionized role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, perfect for journalists who are energized by the rhythm of a 24/7 newsroom.
This is a Group 3 position under the current Collective Agreement.
