The Teaching Assistant is responsible for lab preparation, setup, and cleanup, as well as demonstrating in-person labs. Additional duties include marking assignments, reporting grades, conducting student consultations, and invigilating exams.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Food Sciences and have prior teaching experience. Applicants must be currently registered in a University of Saskatchewan graduate program.
In the appointment of Teaching Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be: Lab preparation/lab set up, clean up, demonstrating (in person labs), marking assignments and report the grades, and student consultation, invigilating and conferring with the supervisor in charge as required by assignment. Your general location of work will be the Department teaching labs in Agriculture Building (on Campus) and you will be under the supervision and report to Dr. Adrienne Woytowich or Mr. Yuanlong Cao. Term 1 (2026 Fall session): FABS 212: Agrifood and Resources Microbiology (3 vacancy) Term 2 (2026 Winter session): FABS 110: The science of Food (2 vacancy) FABS 325: Food Microbiology and Safety (3 vacancy) FABS 456: Laboratory Techniques in Food and Bioproduct Sciences (1 vacancy) AGRC 112: Animal Agriculture and Food Science (8 vacancy) Start and End Dates: Term 2 (2027 Winter session): January 6- April 30, 2026 Qualifications (Skills and Abilities) Send your application materials to: [email protected] no later than July 10, 2026.
