Lead and grow a remote-first web development team focused on content and entity reusability and enterprise governance. Partner with Product and Design to define the technical roadmap and ensure the platform remains performant, secure, and scalable.
Requires 2+ years of experience leading development teams and proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js. Candidates should have a strong track record of mentoring developers and managing complex content structures within a headless CMS environment.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager - Content API (f/m/d) to lead a high-performing, remote-first web development team based in Europe who are driving Contentful’s technical strategy for content and entity reusability.
The role will focus on enhancing the management capabilities of the platform to enable re-use of the core content entities, such as Content Types and Entries, and establishing strong governance systems to enable Enterprise organisations to manage how that content is shared and used within their ecosystem.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between technical goals and business objectives, driving scalable, high-performance solutions that power Contentful’s website and user experiences.
In this role, you’ll get to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to understand business strategy & goals, and work with internal teams and external partners to ensure our technical architecture, tech stack and development strategy are aligned to drive success for our site visitors and internal site users, and deliver impact against business goals.
