The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the museum grounds and Fine Arts Garden through tasks such as grass cutting, pruning, and landscape weeding. Additionally, the role involves seasonal duties like snow removal, irrigation system operation, and general facility repairs.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and at least one to two years of relevant landscaping or maintenance experience. A valid Ohio driver's license and the ability to operate various landscaping machinery are required.
The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds of the Museum and the Fine Arts Garden as assigned by performing the following duties.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior landscaping and maintenance experience required. Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license. Ability to drive vehicles, including pickup trucks. Must be able to use various hand tools and operate various landscaping equipment, such as, but not limited to tractors with implements, mowers, trimmers, blowers, lawn edgers, chain saws, tow motors and Bobcat skid steers.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to cold, wet and / or hot, humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
