Requirements
Position Summary
The Quality Control P-Chem Analyst I/II performs analytical testing on bioanalytical and production samples received from contract research organizations, manufacturing operations, and research and development. This position supports quality assurance efforts by following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (cGLP), established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and validated test methods.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of bioanalytical specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Analyze production and research samples using laboratory instrumentation and analytical techniques.
- Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Test Methods (TSMs), cGMP, cGLP, and internal quality processes.
- Assist with laboratory equipment qualification, validation, and calibration activities.
- Prepare, revise, and maintain test methods, SOPs, and other quality documentation.
- Review analytical data for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and communicate issues that could affect product identity, strength, quality, purity, compliance, or laboratory efficiency.
- Support Research & Development projects and laboratory investigations.
- Maintain laboratory inventory, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and assist with purchasing laboratory supplies.
- Complete all required training and maintain training records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or another related scientific discipline preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant laboratory experience will be considered.
Experience
Quality Control Analyst I
- One (1) year of laboratory experience.
Quality Control Analyst II
- Two (2) to three (3) or more years of progressively responsible laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
The ideal candidate will have:
- Working knowledge of cGMP and cGLP requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience operating analytical laboratory instrumentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical documents, SOPs, and laboratory procedures
- Commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment

Compensation
$25.00-$28.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
