Engage with members to mobilize support and raise funds for environmental policies. Advocate for progressive causes by gathering e-signatures and contacting lawmakers to influence decision-makers.
Candidates should have a passion for environmental and social justice and strong communication skills. No prior experience is required as extensive on-the-job training is provided.
Clean Water Action is a national nonprofit with over 50 years of experience in advocating for clean water, environmental justice, and public health. With a strong emphasis on grassroots organizing, expert policy research, and holding elected officials accountable, we empower communities to take meaningful action on critical environmental issues.
We are currently fighting to regulate AI data centers, ban toxic PFAS chemicals from fire-fighting foam and household goods, and pass comprehensive legislation to protect environmental justice communities across the state. As part of the team, you will engage directly with Clean Water Action members across the nation to mobilize support, raise funds, and fight for policies that protect all people in all communities.
· Location: In-person position in Pittsburgh, PA
· Hours: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM
· Schedule: Shifts offered Monday – Friday with a minimum of 12 hours weekly required.
· Advocate for progressive causes and influence decision makers at the national, state and local levels, amplifying your impact on critical issues.
· Gain support via e-signatures and calls to lawmakers
· Raise funds to support our research, lobbying, and educational campaigns.
· Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive and motivated team.

Clean Water Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose programs reach and involve more than one million households each year through outreach, education, advocacy, organizing, and policy action at the local, state, and national levels. A smart choice for charitable giving, contributions to Clean Water Fund are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Clean Water Fund's programs build upon and compliment those of Clean Water Action to support the shared goal of fishable, swimmable, and drinkable water for all. Priority programs and strategies include: Policies that Put Drinking Water First, from watershed to water tap Environmental health solutions that prevent waste and pollution at the source Clean energy and climate solutions that create jobs and protect water Clean Water Fund works to develop strong grassroots environmental leadership and to bring together diverse constituencies to work for life improving changes: safer water, cleaner air, and protections from toxic pollution in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.
