Job Description
Are you passionate about the environment and social justice? Join the Movement for Clean Water!
We are currently fighting to regulate AI data centers, ban toxic PFAS chemicals from fire-fighting foam and household goods, and pass comprehensive legislation to protect environmental justice communities across the state. As part of the team, you will engage directly with Clean Water Action members across the nation to mobilize support, raise funds, and fight for policies that protect all people in all communities.
· Location: In-person position in Pittsburgh, PA
· Hours: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM
· Schedule: Shifts offered Monday – Friday with a minimum of 12 hours weekly required.
Responsibilities
· Advocate for progressive causes and influence decision makers at the national, state and local levels, amplifying your impact on critical issues.
· Gain support via e-signatures and calls to lawmakers
· Raise funds to support our research, lobbying, and educational campaigns.
· Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive and motivated team.
Qualifications
Passion for environmental and social justice issues
Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
Interest in nonprofit work, grassroots organizing, or policy advocacy
Commitment to the cause of diversity, equity, justice and inclusion
Candidates should enjoy connecting with people as part of their daily work and are motivated to make a real change.
