QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:        

• Grade 12 minimum·        
• Recent Safe Food Handlers certificate issued by Public Health

 

Background:        

• Minimum of three years’ experience preferred 

Personal Requirements:

 

• Work as part of a team   
• Capable of adapting to different situations and change·        
• Keen interest in working with seniors

 

 FUNCTIONS:        

• Helps cook and servers collect and strip trays and tables for washing, clean and reset tables for next sitting;     
• Loads, operates and empties dishwasher. Puts dishes away; 
• Damp mops floors;
• Cleans other kitchen equipment such as blenders, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.;
• Maintains general cleanliness of the dry goods storage area, walk-in fridge and freezer, receiving area by correct sweeping and mopping of floors, washing of walls and racks;
• Performs all duties in a clean and sanitary manner;
• Ensures that adequate standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained in food storage, and food service;         
• Ensures availability and maintenance of dietary supplies and equipment and submits requisitions as necessary.
