The RDA supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials while assisting doctors during procedures. Responsibilities include taking x-rays, performing prophy, and instructing patients on oral hygiene.
Candidates must hold a California Registered Dental Assistant License, X-Ray Certification, Coronal Polish Certification, and current BLS certification. A certification from a dental college or related experience is preferred.
Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
