The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, and instruments while assisting the doctor during procedures. Responsibilities include taking X-rays, performing prophylaxis cleaning, charting patient treatment plans, and maintaining sterilization standards.
Candidates must hold a certification from a dental college or possess three to six months of related experience. Required credentials include a New Mexico X-Ray certification and BLS certification.
