Tasks

We're hiring a Key Account Manager to own our most strategic international clients. The fintechs and SaaS leaders setting the pace of European finance have chosen Chift as the infrastructure powering their financial connectivity, and they expect a partner who matches their ambition. You'll be that partner.

You'll work directly with the CEO and the leadership team, shape the playbook for how we partner with category leaders across Europe, and carry direct ownership of the commercial outcomes that flow from these accounts. The role exists because financial connectivity is becoming the most critical infrastructure layer of the next decade, and the relationships you'll build are the ones that decide who wins it.

The role is a mix of high-stakes project management, customer care and commercial alignmment.

Some non-exhaustive tasks you'll perform:

• Own the strategic relationship. You're the trusted advisor and single point of contact for our largest international accounts. You're as comfortable working with product and integration managers on day-to-day topics as you are walking into a C-level conversation about partnership, roadmap alignment, or strategic expansion. You'll proactively engage decision-makers at this level rather than waiting for them to come to you.


• Drive expansion. NRR, expansion revenue, and strategic account health for the international portfolio sit on your shoulders. You'll find new use cases, new connectors, and new commercial surface inside each account, then turn that into renewals, upsells, and multi-year deals.


• Be the voice of the client inside Chift. Work hand-in-hand with product, engineering and the rest of the CS team to translate client needs into roadmap priorities, and unblock anything that gets in the way.


• Build joint go-to-market plays. When a top fintech wants to co-market, co-launch, or publish a flagship case study with Chift, you make it happen.


• Own the numbers. NRR, expansion revenue, and strategic account health for the international portfolio sit on your shoulders. You report directly to the founders on these metrics.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years as Key Account Manager, Strategic Account Manager, or Customer Success leader managing enterprise accounts in fintech, embedded finance, or B2B SaaS. Bonus points for experience with accounting platforms.


• Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.


• Technical appetite: Comfortable in conversations with product managers and engineers about APIs, webhooks and integration architecture. You don't need to write code, but you should be able to understand (or learn very fast) key technical concepts.


• Fintech oriented: you are familiar with numbers and already know the basics of accounting. You have a deep understanding and enthusiasm for the B2B SaaS industry and fintech.


• Startup-ready: You've worked in or close to a fast-moving startup or scale-up. You're comfortable with ambiguity, changing priorities, and shaping the role as you go.


• Languages: Fluent English, written and spoken. Most of your clients operate in English daily. French and/or Dutch is a strong plus, both for our Brussels HQ and to navigate the wider European market.


• Location: Brussels-based or willing to relocate. Expect regular travel to clients across Europe (London, Amsterdam, Berlin)


• AI-native: You already use Claude (or other), AI agents, and similar tools in your daily work.
