We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Business Developer Executive to help drive growth across South Africa and Southern Africa. In this role, you’ll play a key part in expanding our customer base, strengthening strategic client partnerships, and supporting the execution of the regional Sales & Marketing strategy in line with World Courier’s global objectives.

Drive new business growth by identifying, targeting, and winning new accounts across South Africa and Southern Africa
Manage and grow a portfolio of new and existing clients across BioPharma and related markets
Build strong, trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s business, industry trends, strategic priorities, and competitive landscape
Position value-added, long-term solutions that support customer success and create strategic partnerships
Promote the full range of World Courier capabilities, services, and solutions
Identify, qualify, and prioritize commercial opportunities within assigned accounts and target markets
Partner with regional and cross-functional teams to design customer-focused solutions
Support and participate in marketing campaigns, trade shows, seminars, and other business development initiatives
Monitor account performance, customer satisfaction, and service quality through defined metrics
Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and develop contingency plans where needed
Track sales activity, manage pipeline health, and deliver against key performance indicators
Analyze market potential and identify emerging opportunities for continued growth
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
‘Hunter’ New business development approach, comfortable in developing cold leads into established clients.
Sales account management, or a strong commercial/customer-facing sales background
Experience in the logistics, transport, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences sectors
Strong understanding of the South African and broader African business environment
Knowledge of local market dynamics, customer expectations, and regulatory/compliance considerations
Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience with Salesforce is an advantage
