We are actively seeking a new Inside Sales Rep to join the team to grow our Belting and Mechanical business.

Our Inside Sales Reps are responsible for entering orders in a timely manner with appropriate billing, shipping, and customer contact information to build strong working relationships with customers. Functions as the center of all communications due to frequency of direct contact with customers. Engages with our customers and colleagues in a positive and professional manner.
Our Inside Sales Reps are great communicators and work hard to build trust with customers and within the CBT organization.

Responsibilities
Quotation Process
Should have knowledge of competitive situation and assess need or interest in alternate products or options.
Define and assess customer needs for timeliness of quote response and potential need date of product delivery.
Communicate any quoted information to appropriate parties as required within 24 hours unless otherwise specified.
Enter all quotes into CBT systems (P21 or UX).
Follow up and convert quotes to orders.
Continuous reconciliation of existing quotes on system.
Selling/Sales Orders Requirements
Enter all orders in a timely manner, typically in less than 24 hours of receipt, with appropriate billing, shipping, and customer contact information.
Communicate accurate due date expectations with customers.
Confirm orders with customers via email including order acknowledgement.
Understand special procedures that apply to Direct Ship Orders (DSO), Will Calls, Expedited Freight Orders, Kit/Assembly orders, and Rebate/Contract on the Fly orders., EDI, and Conexium.
Understand all aspects of customers and their business to enhance relationship with CBT. This includes knowledge of processes, products, and competitive sources.
Recommend complementary, upstream, and downstream parts associated with the customer’s industrial system along with substitutes in necessary.
Purchasing Responsibilities
Provide Purchasing Department with sourcing information, purchase costs, special quote numbers, due dates, shipping instructions/carrier methods, and any additional details needed.
Handle all aspects of any extenuating circumstances such as DSO, emergency orders, one-time vendors, and non-assigned vendors.
Expediting, RMAs, RTVs
Generally, the above functions are specifically the responsibility of the sales coordinator. The IS professional has the responsibility to effectively communicate all pertinent information to the sales coordinator.
Communication Requirements
Function as the center of all communications due to the frequency of direct contact with customers.
Proactively ask questions of customers to maintain knowledge of their competitive activities, project opportunities, customer issues, and organizational changes. Communicate all information to necessary CBT departments such as Account Managers, Specialists, Sales Coordinators, Accounting, Warehouse, Marketing, Operations, and Management.
Maintain accurate and current information in the mandatory customer note fields of P21 and CRMgo.
Personal review of dashboard and daily/weekly reports that are provided.
Inside Sales Etiquette
Uphold professional attitude with customers, suppliers, and CBT employees. Treat all with dignity and respect.
Be aware of any promises or commitments made and deliver upon those commitments such as timely return of quotes, information, reports, phone calls, emails, voicemails, etc.
All matters of office etiquette will be reviewed with Inside Sales Manager.
QualificationsRequirements
High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Prior experience working in industrial distribution
Knowledge of conveyor belts and components is a plus
Critical Skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and efficiently and effectively interact with customers and internal departments.
Competent in area of product specialties.
Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies, customer/supplier requirements, websites, and portals
CBT specific product and systems knowledge including MS Office, P21, UX, CRMgo, and CBT Website

Working Environment
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
