Responsibilities

Perform routine GMP analytical testing and sampling for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished APIs. Assist with method development, validation, and stability studies while maintaining accurate records in compliance with data integrity principles.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field. Candidates should have 1-3 years of laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation such as GC and HPLC, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment.

Our mission is to make research possible. That starts by employing a talented and highly qualified group of experts that develop the tools to support research scientists. 

Currently, we are looking to add a GMP QC Chemist I to the team:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform routine sampling and GMP analytical testing to support the timely release of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished APIs in accordance with approved specifications and procedures.
  • Assist with GC and HPLC method development, qualification, and optimization activities for new projects in compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Perform analytical testing to support method validation, transfer, verification, stability studies, and investigational activities (e.g., OOS/OOT), as well as other laboratory projects as assigned.
  • Promptly report all data aberrations to management and participate in supervised investigations.
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping, including glassware cleaning, reagent management, and routine instrument preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain complete, legible, accurate, and contemporaneous records of all laboratory activities in notebooks, logbooks, and electronic systems in compliance with GMP requirements and data integrity principles.
  • Perform secondary review of analytical data, calculations, and documentation generated by other analysts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and GMP compliance.
  • Communicate work status and progress to the supervisor on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and requirements, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of laboratory experience using modern analytical instrumentation, including GC, HPLC, Karl Fischer, FT-IR, and related analytical techniques - experience in a GMP-regulated environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HPLC/GC analysis and participation in method development, validation, or transfer activities.
  • Ability to work normal business hours on-site in Ann Arbor, MI.
