The teacher is responsible for implementing the NYS music curriculum and developing weekly lesson plans. They will lead general music instruction, teach liturgical hymns, and conduct school concerts and pageants.
Candidates must have experience in conducting musical productions and a strong proficiency in using technology like Google Classroom. A degree is required as the salary is dependent on the level of education attained.
Responsible for carrying out the NYS music curriculum
-Developing lesson plans to be submitted weekly
-Teaching general styles of music
-Incorporating musical instruments and movement in lessons
-Knowledge of liturgical hymns and ability to teach students liturgical hymns
-Experience with conducting production/performances: Lower School Christmas pageant and Sprint Concert for Upper School
-Preparing students for school concerts and planned music experiences
-Communicates well with parents
-Create an enjoyable learning environment to inspire young minds and help them grow in appreciation of music
-Strong knowledge of technology and utilizing technology to enhance music instruction
-Google Classroom experience
Salary Range is $177 - $261 per diem, depending on degree.
