CareSpot LLC is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and enthusiastic Group Home Manager to oversee a small team and provide exceptional care for three members with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Position: Group Home Manager (DDD Population)
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dedicated Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a DDD group home. This role requires a balance of leadership, hands-on caregiving, and administrative responsibilities to ensure our members receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of medication administration, documentation, and supply management.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with staff, guardians, DDD Support Coordinators, Behavioral Health Case Managers, medical providers, and therapists.
Ensure accurate daily documentation through progress notes, staff communication logs, and electronic platforms.
Coordinate and provide transportation for members to medical, dental, counseling, shopping, recreational, and community activities.
Assist with household duties, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, and minor maintenance tasks.
Support members with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities when needed.
Develop and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and effective delegation of responsibilities.
Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, while fostering a positive and professional team environment.
Implement positive behavior supports and serves as a role model for direct care staff.
Monitor and report on members’ health, behavior, and overall progress through required monthly documentation.
Maintain and track the home’s budget, including expenses and recordkeeping.
Identify areas for improvement in home operations and implement solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
Patience and professionalism when working with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors.
Familiarity with intellectual/developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders.
Knowledge of community resources, social services, and behavioral health supports.
Understanding behavior modification techniques and trauma-informed care practices.
Knowledge of medications, particularly psychotropic medications, including uses and side effects.
Commitment to protecting members’ rights, dignity, and independence while promoting self-determination and choice.
Cultural competency and respect for diversity in working with members and staff.
Ability to de-escalate behavioral situations and respond effectively to crises.
Experience reading and implementing person centered service plan (PCSP) and behavioral treatment plan (BTP).
Strong organizational and household management skills, including budgeting and menu planning.
Ability to train and guide staff in best practices for member care and household operations.
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Group Home Manager serving the DDD population.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Female candidate (per program requirements).
At least 18 years of age.
Reliable transportation and valid AZ driver’s license with a clean 36-month driving record.
Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card from AZ DPS.
Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Prevention & Support.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
