The Dietary Aide assists the cook with meal preparation, service, and cleanup while ensuring compliance with food safety standards and Canada’s Food Guide. They also monitor resident behavior and dietary needs to provide high-quality care within the facility.
Candidates should have a Grade 10 education or equivalent, along with Food Handling and Safety and WHMIS certifications. Experience in food preparation, customer service, and working with the elderly is preferred.

Under the supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, the Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting the cook with the preparation and service of well-balanced meals to residents of the Pembroke Civic Complex/Carefor Mackay Centre and clean-up following meal service. Responsibilities will be performed in accordance with food handling and safety standards, Canada’s Food Guide, and within the framework of Carefor Health and Community Services policies, procedures, and standards.
