The role involves safely picking up and delivering vehicles to customers across New Hanover and surrounding counties. Additionally, the driver is responsible for transporting vehicles to service areas and greeting customers during check-in.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. A high school diploma and the ability to drive a manual transmission are preferred.
Capital Ford of Wilmington is hiring a pick up and delivery attendant/porter for our service department.
The pick up and delivery driver must be able to do the following on a day-to-day basis:
Pick up and deliver vehicles to various locations all around New Hanover and surrounding counties in a safe and timely manner
Transport and park vehicles in designated service areas
Maintain a focus on obeying traffic laws
Follow driving directions
Display excellent customer service skills
Develop and maintain working relationships with coworkers in several areas of the dealership
Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner
Assist in all other areas of the Department, as needed
Maintain high ethical standards in all actions
Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance
Report for work at assigned time
Greet customers and check in vehicles

Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and fairly clean driving record (no major violations)
Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle *Preferred, but not required
Ability to pay attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to follow instructions
Positive attitude
