The Director will lead the deal desk and proposal strategy functions, overseeing the design and implementation of processes to enhance sales efficiency and deal velocity. Candidates must have extensive experience in proposal management and deal desk strategy, preferably in a senior leadership role. Proficiency in Salesforce, MS Office, and sales enablement tools is required, along with strong communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.
The Director of Deal Desk and Proposal Strategy is responsible for the overall strategy, execution and success of the deal desk and the proposal strategy functions.
This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of deal desk initiatives and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force and deal velocity. This role includes leading the strategy and delivery of high-quality and persuasive proposals and Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions, fostering the completion of security assessments and other deliverables in support of deal flow and customer compliance, and implementing and leading a centralized and scalable deal desk.
The Director is a strategic partner to sales leadership, collaborating closely with key stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, and revenue operations to ensure alignment with the company’s business objectives. Reporting to executive leadership, the Director will manage the Proposal Team, which will include three (3) Proposal Specialists, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives and strategic business development initiatives. This role will drive continuous improvement in deal desk and proposal processes, while fostering collaboration across departments to deliver exceptional, customer-focused proposals and deal cycle efficiency that positions the company as a leader in its industry.
This role is ideal for a visionary leader who can drive strategic deal desk and proposal efforts while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. The Director of Deal Desk and Proposal Strategy will play a critical role in further shaping the company's growth and competitive positioning.
The base salary for this position is $125,000-$140,000 with an On Target Earnings (OTE) of $150,000-$165,000. It is important to Calero that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate. Calero aims to reward performance and attract top talent with competitive, fair pay and benefits. Please note that the top of the salary range represents exceptional, and/or senior-level positions, that meet all required qualifications.
