The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experiencedMILDEC Specialist,SMEto support operational planning and military deception (MILDEC) activities across the Indo-Pacific. The MILDEC Specialist, SME serves as CACI's senior military deception and operational integration professional responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating deception operations that supportlogistics, operational maneuver, force protection, information advantage, and mission success. Reporting directly to the Operations Lead, this positionprovidesexpert guidance to Government leadership on incorporating military deception into operational planning, contingency operations, exercises, and mission execution in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF), Joint Force, and coalition operations.
The MILDEC Specialist, SME works closely with Government planners, intelligence personnel, information operations professionals, operations staffs, logistics planners, cyber specialists, space and electromagnetic warfare personnel, and mission partners to develop deception objectives, synchronize supporting capabilities, assess adversary perceptions, and integrate deception activities across multiple operational domains. This position contributes to successful program execution by enabling commanders to shape adversary decision-making, preserve operational security, and create conditions that improve mission effectiveness throughout the Indo-Pacific theater.
Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate military deception (MILDEC) plans supporting operational, contingency, exercise, and crisis response missions.
AdviseGovernment leadership on MILDEC doctrine, planning methodologies, and operational employment supporting Joint and Special Operations missions.
Integrate MILDEC activities with operations security (OPSEC), information operations (IO), psychological operations (PSYOP/MISO), cyber operations, electronic warfare, space operations, and intelligence activities.
Conduct adversary analysis toidentifyvulnerabilities, decision-making processes, and opportunities for deception.
Participate in operational planning teams, Joint Planning Process (JPP) activities, mission analysis, COA development, and operational synchronization events.
Develop deception assessments, operational recommendations, risk analyses, and executive-level briefings.
Coordinate MILDEC planning with Combatant Commands, Service Components, Special Operations Forces, coalition partners, and interagency organizations.
Support operational rehearsals, exercises, wargames, and experimentation activities involving deception planning and execution.
Assess the effectiveness of deception activities and recommend adjustments to improve operational outcomes.
Ensure MILDEC activitiescomply withapplicable authorities, policy, doctrine, and operational guidance.
Develop standard operating procedures, planning templates, training materials, and lessons learned supporting deception operations.
Mentor Government personnel and planning teams on military deception planning techniques and best practices.
Support contingency operations and emergent mission requirements requiring rapid operational planning and deception integration.
Promote innovation, operational adaptability, and continuous improvement across deception planning activities.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 15 years of experience supporting military deception (MILDEC), intelligence operations, operational planning, information operations, or Special Operations within Government or Department of Defense organizations.
Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Service Components, Special Operations organizations, or Intelligence Community operations.
Demonstrated experience developing and integrating MILDEC plans supporting operational, contingency, exercise, or campaign planning.
Experience integrating MILDEC with OPSEC, Information Operations (IO), MISO/PSYOP, cyber operations, electronic warfare, and intelligence support activities.
Experienceparticipatingin the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), or equivalent operational planning methodologies.
Demonstrated experience briefing senior Government leadership, General/Flag Officers, Senior Executive Service personnel, and operational commanders on deception planning and operational recommendations.
Extensive knowledge of Joint doctrine, military deception principles, operational art, intelligence analysis, and multidomain operations.
Desired
Bachelor's Degree in Intelligence Studies, Military Science, National Security Studies, Strategic Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
Master’s degree in strategic studies, National Security Affairs, Military Operations, Intelligence, International Relations, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
Experience supporting USSOCOM, SOCPAC, Joint Special Operations Task Forces (JSOTFs), Geographic Combatant Commands, or other Special Operations headquarters.
Experienceutilizingintelligence analysis, mission planning, geospatial, targeting, and operational planning systems, including JADOCS, GCCS-J, JIPOE, ArcGIS, CIDNE, Palantir, Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 applications.
Graduate of the Joint Information Operations Planners Course (JIOPC), Joint Targeting School, Military Deception Planner Course, Joint Advanced Warfighting School (JAWS), School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), or equivalent operational planning programsishighly desirable.
Experience integrating deception planning withlogistics, sustainment, contestedlogistics, and operational maneuver in denied or contested environments is highly desirable.
Experience supporting multinational, coalition, and interagency planning efforts involving information advantage and operational deception is highly desirable.
